I’m sorry I started a negative thread about SM. Her books have kept me engaged for months and the movie, well the movie still has me mesmerized. You are so right. Can’t put the books down!
If I was snobby before about the whole “true lit” thing, I’m so sorry. It is such a great story. Please accept my apologies and hope you continue to get complete enjoyment from all the books you read. Very best, Kmountainlion
Dear Catsgocrazy, I’m so sorry…really. I meant no harm. I just got triggered over the notion of Twilight being “true lit.” I agree that not all reading has to be”improving.” Also, I don’t think I’m clever, I just really like Sherman Alexie and was trying to share an important author with other people who like to read. I don’t think there is ANYTHING wrong with anyone reading Stephanie Myers. Her books are a true gift. THX for sharing your thoughts and I’m so sorry 2 have been harsh.
Thank you kmountainlion. I really admire that you’ve taken the time to write such a thoughtful comment, and you have explained your position re. Twilight perfectly! You seem like a classy person. Sometimes I get a bit ‘over sensitive’ when I think someone is Twilight bashing (simply because some people take it to the extreme and blame SM for the fall of Western civilisation!) lol. But I owe you an apologise for the sarcasm in my comment, it was uncalled for and I’m sorry.
