I agree with Val, Taylor shouldn’t be classified as country. I’ve been listening to country music for my 20 years of life, and truth be told, not many of the new people should be classified as country. The beginning of the millennium was the beginning of the end for most country, nowadays it’s classified as countrypolitan, a subgenre leaning toward what’s pop sounding, which began in the 60’s I believe. But anyway, it’s ok, but I prefer the stuff from the 90s to the 50s. Much better music.

seroisly theres a reason for being a parent

  17. eubanky2112 Says:

you also forgot that she dyes her hair now in this video you can tell thats her natural color

  18. nancy402617 Says:

I don’t think she did. I think they gave her a makeover once she was famous enough. I think the straightened hair makes her look different. Including with the way they cut it.

  19. LSCONCEPTS Says:

gosh Taylor Swift is just getting started out she will grow into her voice everyone has.

  20. mad0813 Says:

    no i dont think so

  21. eubanky2112 Says:

looking at this old video makes me wonder if trisha went under the knife

  22. val122160 Says:

Taylor’s music doesn’t have the country sound that Dolly, Trish, Miranda and Reba have. I think she should be classified a pop star, not a country one.

  23. genericSN Says:

Unless the significant other is abusive, parents should stay out of their kids’ personal lives. Over the years, parents interjecting themselves into a child’s personal life almost always breeds deep resentment. My grandmother did that with my father–my father turned around an married a girl she hated…for 27 miserable years out of pure spite.

By the way, the ending of this song is beautiful.

  24. E1M9I9L6Y Says:

This song is kind of old but i still love it. :) It is the perfect song for teenagers in love. Love is not what makes the world, but its what makes the world worth wild

  25. Free2bepurp Says:

OMG Val, give Taylor a break, she is just a kid getting started! For your info, she has been a paid songwriter in Nashville since she was 14! Give her some time to grow into her talent, Trisha and Reba are old enough to be her mother-they didn’t start out as they are now.
